I can't seem to win in the NBA this season. And my CHASING plays in the NHL also lost....Yuck!

However, I did LOSE my ONLY BIG bet - which was 7 Units on the stupid THRASHERS! What the hell was I thinking! I'll have to take a few months to get some $$$ since I go to school grrrrrr....and the part-time job ain't workin out...grrrrrrrrrrr.

Hopefully I'll learn something about MONEY MANAGEMENT....

Any good books or recommendations?

ivan, please think alot about money management,,, this is #1, i trade stocks and commodities during the day and the money management there isnt much different than it is here.... how many times have i said, its not who you bet but how you bet.. come back a flat bettor, using sound money management, 60% winners can make you rich... 90-60 betting $100 per can earn you $2400 a month,, this can be done.. i just hate to have seen you make this big play on the sorry thrashers and last night with the sorry raptors,, at least you could have went down with a good team... forget about it, take a little while off,, play in some of these free contests and come back with a clear mind,,, bone up on baseball...

Not sure that alot of people will miss you anyway, but i am going to take up for you a bit here. As long as it wasnt your last $700 left in the world, then there is nothing wrong with betting 7 units on a game. Heck we all raise the stakes on certain games during the month. I have bet up to 25 times my normal bet before! Not on the Super Bowl, cause that is just like any other game, but certain games like Dallas Mavs last night at -4 at Houston! That game seemed like a dream to me and i bet 5 times my normal wager along with parlaying THE HELL out of that game!! Won 5 parlays with that game as well 5 times my normal straight bet.

One thing that I WILL NEVER DO is bet more than about 3x on a hockey game. Too much rest on only 1 player for each team, THE GOALIE!! Anything can happen!! My main problem with your bet was that you didnt take Atlanta +.5! You bet your biggest bet of the year and you GET COCKY!!! Play it a little safe and go to the bank on a tie!


Everyone bets more on a few games a month when the systems match up and the game appears to be sent from God! Yesterday with Dallas I won over 10,000 but i didnt get cocky today, I didnt see any good games to bet in the NBA so I passed and am enjoying watching CSI and ER on network TV. Looking forward to my 8,000 payout next week via FED EX though. But uNLOADING on hockey is just CRAZY if you ask me!!

Oh yes, sometimes I see people chasing bets and then they take FAVORITES?????? What the hell is that?????????? I WILL GUARANTEE you one thing, you will not lose 4 games in a row in the NBA if you take teams that are +10 or higher! Likewise, in hockey take the +1/2 goal when it is offered and you like that team! No reason to get real cocky with your biggest bet of the year. A WIN IS A WIN!!! Now i know htat you are going to say that I am not one to give help with my hockey contest record, but do you really think that i bet 6 games a night???????? I was doing that just for fun!! $500 means nothign to me, so I wanted to see if I could go from last place to first by taking 6 games a day. I was in last place last week I believe so I have made a nice improvement, but taking the 6 games a night thing wont work. This happened to me last year when we didnt have a limit on our number of games per day in baseball. Baseball is my biggest money making sport but i took a 2 week hiatus in late August that really hurt me.

How did you finish up 6.72 units in NHL? On Wednesday the 29th you were up 5.72. You just lost 7 units, and somehow you are up to 6.72? Wanna explain that?

 

Hey Ivan add up your record you are down in hockey. Don't forget to add that -7 unit game. I just want accurate record keeping. Good luck.

Well even I will take up for Ivan here. Win or lose, it would not have been fair to count even a 3* unit play. HE would need a seperate record for big plays of lets say 3* or more. Not fair to count them in the same record win or lose cause if one wins like 5 in a row, then it skews the units too much for a newbie to the board who doesnt know where the record came from.

My main question would be, WHY THE HELL does it matter to ANYONE else what he puts in his posts????? Get a life people!!!

 

It matters to me because Ivan constantly stresses record keeping in my threads, and to see him forget about a 7 unit loss (which should most definately count in the same record as his other plays) is something that is deceiving to people who want to play his picks knowing his real record.

Sometimes you will see cappers here saying that there record is like 22-20 and that they are like 85 units up!!! Usually they wont post the record, just the units up. For a new person to this forum, it is too hard to tell how they arrived at their record.

Also, it allows SCAMDICAPPERS to offset their bad record, by ALL OF A SUDDEN taking a few 10 units plays instead of the normal 1 unit play. If they lose, then they stop posting and pick a new user id. If they win, then everyone thinks that they are a genius.

Now back to the point whereby you guys like Jake and SSI even GIVE A DAMN what he puts in his record. Now i know that you guys have sex with the prescription every night, but not everyone else thinks that it is that important. It seems that people around here want to be """RESPECTED""" on this forum. If you are on who feels the need to be respected on an internet forum, then you have a serious problem. I mean you dont even know these people and yet YOU WANT TO BE RESPECTED!! Just win money at your sportsbook and dont worry about what people think around here. Heck one doesnt even know if these guys actually bet on the games that they post. It is all up to you and your sportsbook

playersonly, if the man risks 7 units and loses, he is down 7 units. I have no idea what the **** you are talking about being respected. Ivan has bashed me every single time I haven't posted my current record, and now he "forgets" to take his 7 unit loss of his total. It isn't rocket science. I gotta go though. Time to have sex with the prescription.
